Techlon Polypropylene (PP) Multi-Filament
The Techlon Polypropylene dope dyed multi-filament is less expensive than nylon and polyester.
Techlon has special expertise in color matching yarn.
The dope dying process creates both a wonderful character of color and excellent color fastness.
The vivid color of the dope dyed PP filament is excellent. The whiteness of PP filament is the best compared to other fibers.
The standard moisture content is 0%. As a result the weaves Techlon creates are quick drying.
PP filament cannot absorb moisture. As a result it is not easily dirtied. Due to the lack of moisture this fiber is resistant to bacteria.
In all kinds of fibers PP multifilament’s specific gravity of 0.91 is the lowest.
NOTE: Specific gravity is the density of a fiber relative to that of water at 4 degrees centigrade, which is one. Fibers having a specific gravity greater than one have an equal volume of water; those with specific gravity less than one are lighter and will float on water.
Techlon fibers are composed of carbon and hydrogen only. It contains neither chlorine nor nitrogen. A non-poisonous gas will be released when burned. Additionally, no pollution is caused during manufacturing because no extra dyeing is required.
